please remember those families who are still struggling with job loss, foreclosure and financial hardships through a generous gift to CRHDC, as we  continue providing needed programs and services to residents throughout Colorado.

In 2010, CRHDC helped 68 famiiles save their homes from foreclosure and graduated 173 students from Home Buyer Education classes and another 109 from our Financial Fitness program. 

We are doing our part to help families become self-sufficient and acheive their goals. Now it's your turn.

Last fall, Jorge was about to lose his home. His story is not unlike those of many other struggling families throughout Colorado and the nation.

"I worked for a Colorado training center, which belongs to unions. I would help people learn safety skills before they went to work," explains Jorge. "But with the slowing economy, I went down to teaching only one class a week."

As foreclosure loomed closer, a friend of his mentioned an organization called CRHDC and he called to set up an appointment. When he went in for his first session with Foreclosure Counselor Charlotte Brousseau, he was amazed at the amount of free services CRHDC offered to clients.

"Charlotte was really helpful. When I would call the mortgage company I had a hard time getting them to listen to me, but when Charlotte called they realized that we were being serious," Jorge says. "I was able to afford my home again."

CRHDC and its affiliates would like to take this time to show our appreciation for the support we have received so far in 2010. We would like to recognize all those who worked so diligently to  help us make Colorado a better place to live, work, and grow.
