Lending Opportunities
CHE works like a mortgage broker offering the following Mortgage Lending Products:
Flexible First Mortgage Programs — CHE works closely with lending partners to help clients access special and affordable first mortgage products available for qualified borrowers. These programs target low to moderate income first-time homebuyers and may help individuals qualify for a mortgage by offering lower interest rates, lower down payment requirements, no mortgage insurance premiums and/or more flexible qualifying requirements.
To inquire about Flexible First Mortgage Programs please call (303) 428-1448.
Down Payment Assistance Program (DPA) — CHE provides first-time homebuyer down payment and closing cost loans and grants (when available), please call for grant availability, to qualifying households. To find out more about our DPA program click the following links: DPA Requirements.
Hardship Loan Program — In January 2007, CHE rolled out its Hardship Loan Program. The program is a foreclosure prevention strategy that combines education and counseling with a loan product. To find out more please click the following link Hardship Loan Program.
502 Loan Leverage — CHE leverages United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) 502 mortgage loans. CHE provides a 20% loan-to-value first mortgage loan and RD provides an 80% loan-to-value second mortgage loan. The program enables low-income qualifying rural borrowers to replace equity with the CHE product, and the blended loan rates makes the home affordable.
